Conclusion

It is believed that the major contributions of this paper are

1. that it provides a rationalized view of the VC domain and enables different interpretations/presentations to be compared, understood and classified within the context of a clearly articulated schema;
2. that it provides a useful point of departure for future researchers, and offers the potential for better structured projects and comparison of outputs; and
3. that it provides a new perspective on the nature of 'overall' VC and, consequently, further challenges our understanding of this complex and important property.
